ABOUT ACUPUNCTURE

What Does Acupuncture Feel Like?

Practicing for 21 years, Nicole Cutler, L.Ac., MTCM is accustomed to working with people who have never had acupuncture before, and her technique is virtually pain-free – yet extremely effective! Most people rarely feel the tiny needles.

When it comes to experiencing pain, everyone is different. Some people don’t feel the acupuncture needles at all. Most patients feel a sensation briefly upon each insertion, but that sensation is rarely pain. Instead, patients typically report feeling a tap, slight pressure, gentle tingle or a feeling of warmth. Treatments are usually very relaxing, and many people fall asleep.
